Senior Consultant - Data Engineering

About the Role
  
We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Data Engineer/ Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, developing robust ETL/ELT processes, and helping clients build enterprise data solutions. We value technical expertise coupled with strong consulting skills like stakeholder management, workshop facilitations, and business acumen.
  
In this role, you will:
  • Engage with key client stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, or custom scripts.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance through automated testing and validation.
  • Contribute actively to the consultancies professional development by sharing your data knowledge
  
The role requires excellent technical skills and a strong focus on effective communication with clients and internal management, including translating technical analysis and complex systems for business consumption, to ensure well-informed decision-making and successful outcomes. 
  
Experience and Qualification  
  • 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in SQL and one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Scala, R).
  • Experience with data warehousing/datalake tools (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, orchestration frameworks, and data modeling (e.g., dbt, Airflow).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, in particular the ability to relate to senior management, colleagues, and client
  • Self-starter, flexible, and collaborative attitude  
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Acts professionally, ethically and with integrity, leading by example
